Excelsior Vlakteplaas is a Schoeman family winery about 55km north of Oudtshoorn on the Willowmore road, near De Rust in the Klein Karoo. Grapes have been grown on the farm since 1930, and the original cellar is known for Muscadel and Jerepigo wines that have won gold and silver medals. Visits are by appointment.
