Why it's worth the detour

A working brandy distillery and cellar at Vlottenburg, outside Stellenbosch, home of the Van Ryn's brandies. Visitors can join a cellar and distillery tour, taste brandy with chocolate or other pairings, have a cocktail and buy bottles in the shop.

Stellenbosch: Premier wine region known for Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blends.
